Other weed control agents used in the establishment of trees includes broad spectrum herbicides such as glyphosate (eg: Round up). These chemicals are widely available from local rural produce centres. Back pack sprayers and boom sprays for applying glyphosate are also available from local rural produce centres but may also be borrowed or hired from local Landcare Groups or neighbours. Some contracters may also be able to supply the chemical and do the spraying for you. Contact your local Landcare Group to see if they know of anyone providing this service locally (Landcare contacts).
